The Peace of Christmas
“The Peace of Christmas” tells the story of a group of American and German soldiers in 1944 during the height of World War II. They are forced to stay the night together in a cabin owned by a mother and son as the bitter winds of the Belgian winter make the outside inhospitable. The incredible story unfolds as both groups must discover the true meaning of Christmas and find peace in the midst of war.

History of The Log Cabin
The Log Cabin is a unique piece of architecture based on similar cabins that German immigrants would have lived in when first settling the area in the early 1800s. At the time, an architect was consulted for accurate measurements of the cabin, and great care was taken to ensure its historical accuracy, an essential element of the cabin’s legacy. In addition, the cabin was built using only methods and techniques that would have been available at the time which lends the cabin an unmistakable rustic and authentic feel. The cabin is furnished with antiques from that era so you can truly get a feel for what life would have been like. You can warm up in front of a wood-burning fireplace with old iron arms that once would have been used for cooking, remnants of another time.
